Wicked Twister

Wicked Twister was a record-breaking roller coaster at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. It opened in 2002 as the tallest and fastest double-twisting impulse coaster in the world. Manufactured by Intamin, Wicked Twister featured a unique U-shaped design with two 215-foot tall twisted towers on each end. The ride accelerated riders forward and backward five times, reaching a top speed of 72 mph while ascending the twisted towers at a near-vertical angle. Its thrilling launch sequence and intense twists made it a fan favorite for nearly two decades. The coaster closed permanently in 2021 to make way for future park developments.
